Is The Bible Just Stories Written by Men?

• Parables (story example) - the Bible does contain some parables (stories) used to teach people in a simple way that helps us understand an important subject.  However, the Bible is not full of just parables.

• History - The Bible is rooted in history, and from one end to the other it recounts many real events in the lives of real people, and recorded by real eyewitnesses.  The Bible records the true history of good and even bad history.  The Bible states; “We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty” (2 Peter 1:16).

• Prophercy - There are thousands of future events that were foretold by the Bible and were proven accurate and have in fact come true.  There are also prophercies of future events that will come to past.

• Commandments (Rules) - The Bible gives commandments that defines what is good v/s bad or evil.  This shows forth the heart and character of God as a loving Father wanting children the same as Him.  

• Please consider this:  Are you willing to face the evidence, are you going to give God a chance to prove His Word, wherever it might lead you? Or have you closed your heart and mind to what God wants to teach you? Only you can answer this, of course–but don’t deceive yourself, and don’t turn your back on God.
